Summary Job Description: Unit Description: 5F is the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) primarily serving as an Observation Unit with 29 telemetry beds. Primary patient population is cardiac, medicine, and pre and post cardiac procedures. Patients are predominantly placed from the ED , Cath Lab, and Direct Admissions that meet CDU criteria. Shift: Part Time, Nights Job Description: Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member: Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures Performs routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients. Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation. (Must provide a letter from school verifying completion of first year clinicals.) Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
