Full Time (72 Hours Biweekly) Shift: Evening/Night 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. Every third weekend and holiday rotation required Eligible for shift differential Emergency Department (ED) The ED is a fast paced environment where nursing staff care for patients of all ages with emergency medical complaints. The high volume GSH ED sees about 45,000 patients each year. Our highly trained staff are supported by a Director, Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinators, Clinical Educator, and On-Boarding Specialists. The ED specific orientation is comprehensive to include care for high risk patients, life threatening conditions and illnesses, as well as care of patients with psychiatric disorders, and lower acuity patients. Certifications covered in orientation are BLS, ACLS, and PALS. General Summary Provides clinical leadership daily. Handles day to day issues as related to equipment, staffing, and tech support. Assists in the supervision of Emergency Department Nursing Assistants, including input for performance evaluations and mentoring. Is responsible for Quality initiatives and works with the ED Leadership Team to optimize process, quality and growth of the Emergency Department. Provides clinical support services to patient care staff by performing a variety of duties related to patient care. Takes patient vital signs, assists patients with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, feeding, toileting, etc.), inventories and replenishes supplies and equipment, and performs special assigned and or delegated duties such as performing EKGs, Point-of-Care testing, phlebotomy and splinting WellSpan Health’s vision is to reimagine healthcare through the delivery of comprehensive, equitable health and wellness solutions throughout our continuum of care.
