Part Time/PRN (Minimum work commitment is 24 hours within a 6-week schedule period) Schedule determined by the needs of the department Shift: Day/Evening/Night   2 East Medical Unit     The 2 East unit is an inpatient acute care medical and surgical unit consisting of 30 private and semiprivate rooms. This unit serves patients with all acute care needs including but not limited to Cardiac, GI, Infectious disease, Fractures, Wound Care, Respiratory, and limited behavioral health. We have a combination of medical and surgical patients. Staff must complete telemetry training and maintain competency in reading ECG and administering cardiac drips.     General Summary Provides clinical support services to patient care staff by performing a variety of duties related to patient care. Takes patient vital signs, assists patients with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, feeding, toileting, etc.), inventories and replenishes supplies and equipment, and performs special assigned duties such as performing EKGs and Point-of-Care testing. Responsibilities
The Nursing Assistant provides clinical support services to patient care staff by performing various duties related to direct patient care. This includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with daily living activities like bathing and feeding, and managing supplies and equipment.
