A day in the centre could see you:

  • Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • Create a donor experience they’ll love—and want to come back Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and collections equipment
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation
  • Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets

No prior experience in blood collection is needed, our paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice, and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported.
