OPHTHALOMOLOGIST MEDICAL NURSING ASSISTANT | RED DEER

Working in our Ophthalmology Clinic to assistant in ensuring patients receive the highest standard of medical care. This position requires medical training in a comparable field, which is essential for the successful performance of the role. Must have IV experience to apply. • Assisting Ophthalmologist during eye examinations and treatments
• Preparing basic vision tests and measurements, such as visual acuity
• Assisting with injections as well as IV experience with IVFA
• Operating ophthalmic equipment to obtain diagnostic information
• Administering eye drops or medications as directed by the ophthalmologist
• Recording patient medical histories and information about their visual health
• Teaching patients about proper eye care techniques, including the us e and care of contact lenses
• Assisting with patient scheduling, billing, and maintaining medical records
• Maintaining clean and organized examination rooms and sterilizing ophthalmic instruments
• Cross-training to work in other clinic positions when required
