Rivers Health is seeking a PRN Nursing Assistant to perform the duties below: 1. Delivers and documents care according to hospital policies, procedures and philosophies.   1. Follows strict aseptic technique at all times. Uses sterile         technique when indicated.      1. Observes and reports all patient concerns and changes in condition      to a Nurse immediately.      1. Safely transports patients, supplies and specimens.   1. Respects patient's privacy rights, respects values of individual      patients, and provides care accordingly.       1. Assists with orientation of new employees.   1. Completes all annual competencies.   1. Assists with unit cleanliness.   1. Performs other duties that may be assigned.   1. Complies with Corporate Policies, Procedures and Personnel Employee      Handbook.   1. Must be able to cross-train to other units.   1. Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills.   1. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration. Participates in      unit meetings.   1. Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on      quality improvement teams. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:   The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.     EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: CPR required. Basic ability to read, write and understand simple instructions.  Meet unit proficiency standards. High school graduate or equivalent required.     WORK EXPERIENCE:   Previous experience in health care facility delivering direct patient care preferred.
Responsibilities
The Nursing Assistant is responsible for delivering and documenting patient care, following aseptic techniques, and reporting patient concerns to a nurse. Additional duties include transporting patients and supplies, assisting with unit cleanliness, and participating in quality improvement activities.
