Responsibilities
  • Teach a full course load in Nursing which may include theory, laboratory, simulation and clinical settings and different delivery methods.
  • Assume instructional leadership roles as needed. Instructional leadership roles may include mentoring part-time instructors, developing curriculum, working with industry and community groups, serving on departmental and college-wide committees, and assisting with the accreditation process.
  • Work with the program administrator and instructors to ensure ongoing compliance with governing organization requirements and nursing accreditation.
  • Utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students’ critical thinking skills.
  • Actively participate in systematic plan for curriculum design, program evaluation and program revision.
  • Work with the Director of Nursing Education Program (DNEP) to develop student success plans and remediate “at risk” students.
  • Commit to creating a learning environment for students inclusive of diverse cultural, social, economic and educational backgrounds.
  • Keeps professionally current by participating in professional development and other activities.
  • Maintains current credentials or licensures and immunizations as required by the program and clinical agencies.
  • Perform administrative duties related to course management, compliance documentation, and course evaluation
  • Provide student advisement to pre-nursing and admitted nursing students to ensure successful preparation for entry and completion of nursing programs
  • Developing, evaluating and revising student admission, progression, retention and graduation policies within the policies of the Governing Body
  • Participating in academic advising and guidance of students.
  • Evaluating student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes related to nursing knowledge and practice
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the dean and/or the DNEP.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $84,000.00 - $92,400.00 per year
