KEY REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a Registered Nursing Associate to join our team.
You require either Foundation Level Degree: Nursing Associate qualification or NMC Registered Nursing Associate Foundation Degree.
Experience in working in surgery is beneficial, however training and mentorship with support will be provided.
We offer a short period of supernumerary status to the successful candidate who will have the opportunity to work alongside a senior member of staff.
Evidence of continuous professional development.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Nursing Associate to join our team on The Elective Surgical Unit at Dewsbury Hospital.
The Elective Surgical Unit is a fast paced adult facility, we care for inpatients and day cases who have had many different elective surgical procedures. Specialities we cover include colorectal, urology, gynaecology, breast, plastics, general surgery and we also provide Level 1 care on the unit.
The nursing team is quite small, has various levels of experience, we are friendly dynamic and supportive.
The post is over seven days a week including bank holidays and rotates on to night duties.
MAIN DUTIES
To be responsible for delivering high quality, patient centred, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS Values.
To be able to work independently at times without direct supervision, delivering care within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role.
Access clinical and care advice when needed.
To comply with Trust Policies and Procedures.
Work to Standard operating procedures with registered care professionals available for reference.
