Manage priorities as delegated by the registered nurse. To evaluate patient progress and discuss with senior clinicians through feedback discussions and multi-disciplinary meetings. To teach and demonstrate the correct use of equipment to optimise patients functional ability and independence. To teach and demonstrate elements of self-care to patients and their carers so that the patients independence is maximised.
To contribute to the team and service development, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, in order to provide best patient care in relation to resources available and evidenced-based practice, with the assistance of the registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. Ability to identify/manage and take action to minimise or eradicate risk to patients. Ensure safe, appropriate and effective provision and demonstration of stock equipment
