OVERVIEW
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Auxiliary Care Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Nursing Auxiliary Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support within our homes. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being of patients while working collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.

Our Nursing Auxiliary Care Assistant roles are sought after positions due to the dedication and commitment that is invested in all of our staff.
You will attend and complete our 2-week intensive Induction Training Program to help you adapt to your new role.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous experience in a Healthcare and/or Social Care Setting
· Hold QCF Level 2 in Health/Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification, and 1 years’ experience of delivering direct care in a care environment.
Or
o Hold 4 GSCE’s at grade A-C including English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) and 1 years’ experience of delivering direct care in a care environment
Or
. Have 2 years’ experience of delivering direct care in a care environment.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and empathy.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

· Carry out procedures/treatments/observations as delegated by the Registered Nurse in accordance with skills and competencies of a Nursing Auxiliary Care Assistant. This may include for example, venepuncture, vital signs monitoring – this list is not exhaustive.
· Assist with General Practitioner rounds as delegated by the Registered Nurse for residents who are supported with residential care.
· Assist the Registered Nurse with checking administration of drugs as per the home policy. This includes the safe storage and safe disposal of drugs as per the home policy and guidelines.
· Assist with daily patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
· Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
· Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment.
· Maintain cleanliness and organisation of patient areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
· Assist in the movement of patients as required, using appropriate techniques to ensure safety.
· Help with administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records and documentation.
· Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
· Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, etc.) and reporting any changes to the nursing team.
· Maintain the confidentiality of all information, regarding residents at all times.
· Accurately record and report all activities undertaken including any physiological observations/clinical duties.
· Deal courteously with residents, their families and others with whom you come into contact within the course of your duties.
· Communicate effectively with residents, their families and others taking into account their physical and mental state.
· Report any changes in residents’ conditions or behaviour to the Registered Nurse/Home Management Team.
· Ensure that all information/messages are passed to relevant team members in an appropriate and timely manner.
