Job Description Great opportunity to lead the strategic sourcing of nursing and clinical equipment across Epworth HealthCare. As a senior member of the Procurement team, this role is pivotal in aligning procurement strategies with frontline clinical care, and ensuring that procurement decisions are not only cost-effective but also clinically appropriate and safe. In this role you will actively engage with multidisciplinary clinical teams, including nursing, allied health, and medical staff, to understand operational needs and translate them into sourcing strategies that support high-quality care delivery. You will develop, lead and execute category plans aligned with clinical workflows and patient care priorities to establish a contract management framework for roll out and future management of all agreements within the business. Through the establishing and maintenance of strong working relationships with key capital/equipment providers, you will proactively generate awareness, alongside an understanding towards new procurement and supply initiatives moving forward. Position Description Inherent Requirements Qualifications You will make an impact by: Ensuring the effective rollout of all initiatives to improve procurement process and technology performance and practice Demonstrating a deep understanding of the supply markets for capital equipment/FFE under responsibility and leading discussions with stakeholders Analysing spend data and identifying procurement opportunities to reduce costs or increase value Helping to promote and maintain a positive image of Epworth Procurement team To be successful in this role… You will have: Current Registration as a Division 1 Nurse Previous experience as a senior registered nurse Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business/Finance, Contract Management or Relevant profession ( Desirable) High-level communication skills with a proven ability to negotiate Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and unexpected requests Customer Centric Attitude Relevant clinical, quality, financial and risk management experience Extensive previous relatable experience working within a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrated ability to bridge clinical practice and procurement strategy, with experience influencing equipment decisions across multidisciplinary teams.
