Job Title: Nursing Facilitator of Workforce Training Health Programs
Job Grade: 212
Campus Location: Walters State Community College -Sevier County Campus (Employees are assigned to a “home” location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.)
Job Purpose: This is a one-year Tennessee Department of Labor grant full-time position ending 06/30/2026. The purpose of this position is to organize meetings with local key stakeholders and assist the Director in communicating information about grant activities. The nursing facilitator will teach designated allied health training programs. This position requires oversight on online Allied Health training programs. The nursing facilitator will be responsible for scheduling and reporting clinical activities for designated programs. The nursing facilitator will perform at least 1875 hours on RHWDI grant activities. This position will involve administrative support for WFT Allied Health Director, as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of an associate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Possess current licensure as a nurse in Tennessee.
  • Minimum of one year of recent clinical experience.
  • Teaching experience with a group of individuals.
  • Have ability to communicate effectively and to establish and maintain important interpersonal relationships with others
  • Must have a valid and current TN state driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel within the WSCC 10-county region.

  • Empowers and motivates students to learn effectively.
  • Works effectively with other staff and administrators within the department, the division, and the college to assist in the development of courses and programs of study.
  • Is a team player and contributes to the department and the division with new ideas and approaches, and uses professional development opportunities to expand instructional vision.
  • Inspires improvement to advance the College’s mission while preserving institutional principles and character.Considers the impact and efficiency of decisions prior to deciding on a specific course of action in deference to WSCC’s benefactors and supporters.

  • Leadership & Supervisory: This position has no supervisory responsibilities but is expected to participate as part of a team in conjunction with the Nurse Aide Training Program clinical coordinator.
    Environment & Working Conditions: Office environment is temperature-controlled with occasional fluctuations, well-lit, and free from loud noises and unnecessary interruptions. Exposure to disease could be potentially hazardous. Exposure to bodily fluids can occasionally occur. Teaching environment at high school locations will vary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS (INCLUDING REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAVEL OR WORKING NIGHTS/WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS):

  • Large amounts of time spent looking at computer monitors could lead to some eye strain, stress, or headache issues.
  • Repetitive stress injuries could occur.
  • Travel to local areas will be required.
