JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Manager to oversee the operations of our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional care to residents, particularly those in assisted living and dementia care settings. As the Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all care plans are implemented effectively while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for both residents and staff.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a care home or similar environment is essential.
  • Strong background in supervising staff and leading teams in delivering high-quality senior care.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs, particularly for those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
  • A compassionate approach towards residents, demonstrating understanding and empathy towards their needs.

DUTIES

  • Manage the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in senior care.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality resident care.
  • Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the needs of residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are prioritised.
  • Lead training sessions for staff on best practices in dementia care and other relevant topics to enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident health and well-being, making adjustments to care plans as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and external stakeholders regarding care services and any changes in resident status.
  • Ensure that the home is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for all residents.
