Nursing Office Manager   Position Summary:    The Nursing Office Manager works in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and the Nursing Faculty to provide the student with a positive learning experience.  The Nursing Office Manager assists with planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the nursing program.  This involves HESI ordering and administrating of tests, schedule implementation, and resolutions of student and faculty issues.  Availability to students and staff and interaction with other departments with respect to the needs of the nursing programs is an essential job requirement.    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  * Demonstrates proper respect for students, and has student-friendly manner in the conduct of his/her duties.  * Works effectively as part of the overall faculty team demonstrating positive interpersonal relations, collaborating with other faculty members to meet student needs, participating in faculty meetings and nursing program committees, and responding to requests from management.  * Assists with information gathering and completion of compliance based reports.  * Participates in ongoing program evaluation activities as needed and confers with the Dean of Nursing Education to ensure compliance with Education Affiliates and EA policies.   * Accountable for ordering all HESI tests and administering the exams.  * In charge of ordering all nursing uniforms and distributing to students in a timely manner.  * Assists with schedule implementation of classroom and clinical experiences.    * Participates in orientation of new students and faculty, both on campus and at clinical sites.  * Communicates with the Director of Nursing Education as necessary to resolve issues or concerns.  * Promotes a positive image and reputation of the nursing program in the classroom, academic community, healthcare community and community at large.  Networks to establish contacts with employers and potential clinical partners in the community.  * Maintains all nursing faculty files and nursing student files according to accreditation policies and procedures.  * Provides appropriate certification to the State Board of Nursing for students who complete program requirements and are recommended for the NCLEX Exam.  * Works with faculty and staff to insure a supportive and responsive learning environment for students.  * Implements effectively the Evolve Success Program (ESP), which includes the Evolve Hesi Specialty Exams and the Elsevier Case Studies and Practice Tests, to help student prepare for the NCLEX.  * Provides feedback and develops an individualized remediation plan for any student that is not performing successfully in the Evolve Success Program (ESP).  * Performs other duties as assigned.  * Maintains regular and reliable attendance.    Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:  * Minimum of 2 years successful experience in an administrative or management role.  * Competent in personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database and email.  * Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills.  * Ability to serve as a positive, supportive and enthusiastic role model.  * Attention to detail is required for proper reporting to accrediting bodies.  * Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening, required immunizations, current CPR and HIPAA certifications.    Classification:  Nonexempt    Work Hours:  Forty per week but may vary daily, and some evening and weekend hours may be required.    Travel: limited  Working Environment:   Interior/Office
