WE ARE HIRING A FULL-TIME NURSING SCHEDULER TO JOIN OUR DYNAMIC CARE TEAM AT OAKLAND GROVE HEALTH CARE CENTER IN WOONSOCKET!

Shift is Monday-Friday 8a-4p. Weekly pay at $25 an hour.

As the scheduler, you ensure that staffing levels of the nursing department are maintained per the facility budget and protocol.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
  • Prior scheduling/administrative experience required.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, basic computer skills and mathematical ability.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
  • Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents, staff, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
  • Is proficient in composition of written communication.

Responsibilities
  • Organize, prioritize, and coordinate all nursing staff schedules.
  • Develop/utilize a master schedule at all times.
  • Post staffing schedule 2-4 weeks in advance, minimum.
  • Identify staffing problems, take initiative to resolve, communicate to DNS and/or Administrator.
  • Update and prepare payroll in ADP for Corporate Bookkeeper on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Maintain daily staffing sheets and DPH required staff sheet.
  • Seek opportunities to fill open positions in a manner which limits overtime.
  • Develop positive relationships with members of the nursing department.
