Job Duties:     Provides interpretation of hospital policies and procedures to staff.       Initiates appropriate and immediate corrective action when established policy/procedure is not followed.       Provides direction in all emergencies.     Monitors for proper utilization of staff.         Facilitates lines of communication interdepartmentally.       Intercedes        Effectively communicates issues, actions to hospital administration and appropriate department heads. on problematic issues involving patients families, visitors and personnel.       Proactive in ensuring adequate resources available to meet patient care needs.     Ensures regulatory compliance.     Demonstrates competence as on site manager responsible for hospital operations in the absence of administrator.       Identifies and reports actual potential risk issues.        Adjusts staffing of nursing departments based on changes in acuity, census and addresses sick calls, no shows and staffing issues.        Participates with hospital's Performance Improvement activities through education and monitoring staff.       EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:           Graduate from accredited Nursing Program       Valid NJ RN License    BSN preferred      BLS,ACLS, PALS - AHA approved    Nursing Supervisor Experience preferred. 
Responsibilities
