Description

At Oakwood House Independent school, we provide an environment in which all students can thrive. As we develop our Nurture provision, we are looking for a dedicated and passionate teacher who is looking for a new opportunity.
Our Nurture provision will stand alongside the current provision, with students having a curriculum path suitable to their academic, emotional and social needs. To help ensure their success, the Nurture class will be a small provision that is focused on positive outcomes and progression for all students, regardless of starting point.
The role would suit a Primary specialist, or a Secondary specialist with experience within a nurture setting. The successful applicant will work alongside the teaching and learning lead, and the SENDCO to develop and implement a cohesive curriculum for the students within this provision.

Duties:

  • Safeguarding is a priority and is everyone’s responsibility. You will be expected to understand how to raise and report concerns. Training will be given to ensure that you are able to follow the correct procedures and how to identify potential child protection concerns
  • All pupils benefit from the directives of their EHCP. Most have social emotional and mental health needs. Experience of working with this profile would be desirable.
