Location: Seattle, WA or Truckee, CA Reports to: Global Controller (Switzerland) + General Managers of Nidecker US Inc. & Low Pressure Studio Inc. About the Role Nidecker Group is seeking a shared Financial Controller to oversee and support our North American multi-subsidiary operations. This role will cover both Nidecker US Inc. (Truckee, California) and Low Pressure Studio Inc. (Seattle, Washington), providing financial leadership and ensuring consistent practices across both entities. In this key leadership position, you will oversee the accounting teams in each office, managing AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions while driving alignment in financial operations, compliance, and reporting. Over time, the objective is to merge the two finance teams into a single North American back office supporting both subsidiaries. This position is based in either Truckee, CA or Seattle, WA (your choice of primary location). It requires regular travel between the two offices and occasional international travel to Group headquarters in Rolle, Switzerland, and Low Pressure Studio headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Tasks Administer the ERP system (NetSuite) and support integrations with Shopify, Avalara, PayPal, and other platforms. Oversee general accounting processes including intercompany transactions, cash management, reconciliations, and monthly close. Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in coordination with Sales and Customer Service teams. Prepare, review, and reconcile accounts in compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements. Supervise tax filings (federal, state, and local), including sales/use, payroll, and property taxes. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; provide clear reporting to leadership. Support internal and external audits; implement recommendations to strengthen processes. Produce accurate financial statements, management reports, and strategic insights. Lead and mentor accounting staff in both Truckee and Seattle, fostering cross-functional and cross-subsidiary collaboration. Contribute to building a unified North American finance back office. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 10+ years of experience in accounting or financial leadership, including monthly close management. Strong expertise in GAAP, general ledger management, and internal controls. Proven experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Experience with inventory and COGS accounting. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred. Experience in e-commerce and multi-entity/multi-currency organizations strongly preferred. Familiarity with tax filing processes across state and federal levels.
