Description JOB SUMMARY: The Nutrition Assistant provides for the safe serving, packing and delivery of meals to eligible seniors aged 60 and older living in Crawford County. DUTIES: Place specified number of prepackaged meals into delivery containers. Must document and temperatures regularly. Accurately deliver meals to clients and obtain any required signatures from client. Must collect donations from specified clients. Communicate with nutrition department any problems, observations, questions etc. regarding meals program or consumers. Perform kitchen, packing and cleaning duties as needed. Responsible for counting daily donations collected from clients. Serve congregate when necessary (Bucyrus/Galion). Assist all volunteers with delivery bags. Responsible for signing up new congregate clients/updating clients yearly. Must be willing to fill in as Head Cook when needed. Responsible for all other duties as assigned by the Nutrition Coordinator. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Ohio Drives License. Proof of Automobile liability insurance. Ability to read maps and operate GPS device. Ability to work cooperatively with others, particularly elderly individuals. Ability to maintain a strong attendance record. Possess ability to work in challenging weather conditions. Possess good organizational skills and able to work under a specified timeline. Ability to monitor food items temperatures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Must maintain a clean and neat appearance and practice good hygiene. Must be able to operate motor vehicle. Must be able to communicate with agency with cell phone or 2-way radio.
