Post location:  Gaza Field Office Contract Duration and Level of Effort: Until 15th Oct 2026.   ROLE PURPOSE:  The Nutrition Facilitator will implement community-based nutrition activities, including facilitating group awareness sessions, conducting MUAC screening for pregnant and lactating women, and identifying, referring, and following up on malnourished cases. The role also supports effective field implementation, contributes to community engagement and communication, and ensures compliance with Save the Children International’s policies and procedures. Based at nutrition sites in informal shelters and primary healthcare facilities, the facilitator will mobilize pregnant and breastfeeding women and children for screening and deliver targeted awareness sessions on nutrition-related topics.   SCOPE OF ROLE:  Reports to: Nutrition Program Officer. Staff reporting to this post: None.   KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Nutrition Sites and outreach within the community. * Conduct MUAC screening for pregnant and breastfeeding women.  * Record and maintain accurate daily data related to screening activities.  * Identify, refer, and follow up on malnourished pregnant and breastfeeding women enrolled in the Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP).  * Facilitate IYCF (Infant and Young Child Feeding) awareness sessions for caregivers.  * Support the distribution of supplementary feeding supplies.  * Provide key messages and guidance to caregivers on the appropriate use of nutrition supplies.  * Support client flow at nutrition sites, ensuring services are delivered in a timely, respectful, and dignified manner.  * Contribute to other nutrition program activities as required in the field.   QUALIFICATIONS  * Bachelor’s degree in clinical nutrition.  * Experience in working with children * Public health, medical, or nutrition background will be appreciated. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Essential: * Minimum of two years of relevant field experience.  * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  * Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload effectively.  * High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in data entry.  * Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate, support colleagues, and work in a multidisciplinary environment.  * Flexibility to adapt working hours and coordinate with teams across different sectors.  * Basic proficiency in English.
