Nestled in the beautiful Festival City of Stratford, Spruce Lodge is a 128 bed not-for-profit Long Term Care home governed by three partner municipalities; the City of Stratford, The County of Perth and the Town of St Marys. The Lodge is the flagship entity on a progressive campus of care that is home to over 350 seniors and adults with disabilities and that employs more than 250 dedicated team members.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nutrition Services Manager to lead and innovate within our Nutrition Services department. Reporting directly to the Administrator and serving as an integral member of the leadership team, this role oversees all aspects of food and nutrition services across our continuum of care, which includes a team of more than 50 full-time, part-time and casual nutrition service staff.

  • Special event catering services

Suffice to say food is more than fuel and the role of the Manager is to lead the department in making a difference in the daily lives of residents in the spirit of person-centered nutrition and hospitality.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for all nutrition operations
  • Supervise and support team members, including Nutrition Services Supervisor(s)
  • Oversee menu development, food quality, inventory, and compliance
  • Manage department budgets and food purchasing systems
  • Collaborate with a consulting Dietitian and with other departments
  • Serve as a resource to residents and families on nutrition-related matters
  • Network with the sector for best practices and collaboration
