Summerhill Market are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented professional who can combine culinary expertise, nutritional knowledge, and data management skills to support our kitchen operations and nutritional programs. This hybrid role is ideal for someone passionate about creating healthy, delicious meals while ensuring accurate nutrition analysis and efficient data entry to maintain our recipe, inventory, and compliance databases.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Nutritionist, preferably in a food service or hospitality environment.
  • Proven experience working closely with chefs and culinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging and labeling regulations.
  • Familiarity with inventory control systems and food service operations.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Nutritional Planning & Analysis
  • Develop and review menus in collaboration with chefs to ensure balanced, health-conscious options.
  • Conduct nutritional analysis of recipes and products, ensuring compliance with dietary guidelines.
  • Provide expertise on special diets, food allergies, and ingredient substitutions.
  • Stay up to date with food packaging and labeling regulations, ensuring all products meet federal and local standards.
  • Verify ingredient declarations, nutritional facts, and allergen statements for accuracy.
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
  • Work with the operations team to oversee inventory control systems and ensure proper food storage practices.
  • Monitor ingredient usage and contribute to waste reduction strategies.
  • Support procurement by advising on nutrition-focused product sourcing.
  • Maintain accurate records of nutritional data, regulatory documents, and compliance reports.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Standardize recipes and ensure consistent application across all food production.
  • Partner with chefs and kitchen staff to improve menu development and nutritional standards.
  • Train staff on food safety, nutrition guidelines, and compliance procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for health and nutrition education across the organization.
