Description

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
As a talented Nyx Earth DevOps Engineer, we want you to help us fulfil our mission by enabling our engineering teams to build, test and deploy reliable and secure software using state-of-the-art CI/CD techniques.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In your capacity as a Nyx Earth DevOps Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day, your duties will include:

  • Architect, deploy and maintain environments for SiL and HiL test campaigns, connecting cloud-based CI/CD infrastructure with on-prem hardware.
  • Implement and administer CI/CD pipelines for flight software and GNC.
  • Monitor and optimise the performance of CI/CD and data pipelines.
  • Work with the DevOps team to integrate analytics into CI/CD pipelines and incident management systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, scalability and security across all environments.
  • Deploy and maintain cloud resources.

In the role of a Senior Data Platform Engineer, ideally, you will have the following:

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for C++.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C++, C and Python.
  • Experience with containerisation tools like Docker.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, build tools (e.g. Bazel) and message streaming solutions (e.g. Kafka, Redis) is a plus.
  • Readiness to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes
