PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Occasionally required to set up rooms for admissions events (e.g., chairs and table set up, moving furniture, setting up student work)
Occasionally required to pick up print materials from University Marketing

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have Federal Work Study to be considered
  • Must possess a professional & positive demeanor, while having good phone and social etiquette
  • Must be punctual, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must have a willingness to learn new skills
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel & social channels including Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn
  • Must be available to work at least two to three days out of the week for a minimum of 2 hours each day
  • Ideally available from 11am-12pm M-F during student worker shift to occasionally help with admissions academic information session

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Preferred skills: • Competent interpersonal communication and public speaking abilities • Knowledgeable in Canva & willing to learn and follow best practices when posting to Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn • Willingness to stay up to date on social media trends that will increase engagement and are appropriate for the college to participate in • Experience with professional photography preferred • Great penmanship preferred • Student will preferably be engaged socially within the O’More College of Architecture & Design to stay informed about current student events and create content.

Responsibilities
  • Support Admissions Coordinator in various administrative tasks such as writing and mailing postcards to prospective students, printing and mailing letters, assembling admit gift packages, etc.
  • Learn and occasionally lead college academic information sessions if class schedule allows
  • Collaborate with the Admissions Coordinator on social media campaigns and create engaging social media posts that highlight the student experience and successes within the college
  • Assist Admissions Coordinator in collecting social media metrics for quarterly social media reports given to the Deans of the college
  • Attend events as needed to capture social media content and take photos
  • Conduct research on social media trends, higher education news, and market comparisons for similar academic programs
  • Assist in preparation for large visit days including Preview Days, Future Bruin Fridays & Be Belmont Day
  • Occasionally assist with calling campaigns to prospective students
