GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Law Division is seeking a legal assistant to provide support for several attorneys. This position provides the opportunity for growth and advancement in a collegial and professional law office. The ideal candidate will have superb attention to detail and great people skills.
The Administrative Law Division has both litigation and general counsel practices. The work involves coordinating legal activities; researching, analyzing, drafting, proofing, and cite-checking legal documents; redacting confidential information; and assisting attorneys and other support staff with successful case management. Additional work includes managing case files and filing in state and federal courts. This position may assist the office manager with high-level administrative work, including case assignment processes and report submissions.

LEGAL ASSISTANT III – ALL OF THE ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS OF A LEGAL ASSISTANT II, PLUS:

  • Experience: One additional year of full-time legal assistant experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a legal assistant in a civil litigation environment
  • Experience as a legal assistant in Administrative Law
  • Experience using MS Word and Excel; experience creating tables of contents and authorities
  • Experience with shepardizing, Westlaw, and other related computerized legal research
  • Experience with redacting confidential documents
  • Experience with electronic filing in state and federal courts
