PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Oak Haven Program provides temporary, safe, stable, trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate supportive care to infants and children, ages 0-17 who require emergency placement while their situation is assessed, and longer-term arrangements are made. The program aims to provide a home-like environment that buffers the stress associated with apprehension and transition and offers care and support commensurate with the developmental needs of each child.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Youth and Family Counsellor acts as a coordinator in the planning and delivery of therapeutic activities for high-risk infants, children & youth. The Youth and Family Counsellor works on a rotational shift schedule which includes day, evening, weekend and awake overnight shifts, ensuring 24/7 coverage for the youth in our care.
**Wood’s Homes pays a shift premium of three dollars ($3.00) per hour for all hours worked between 11:00 pm - 7:00 am.
