Job Overview The main responsibility of the admissions and marketing counselor is to provide spiritual and practical counsel to potential Oaks College students. The counselor’s role is to provide a pastoral approach to helping students hear from God about their next steps in higher education. The secondary responsibility is to oversee and maintain the marketing brand of Oaks College through various marketing and branding functions. This position is classified as a minister position for employment law purposes. Reports to the Oaks College Director Responsibilities + Duties: * Provide spiritual and practical counseling to every single potential Oaks College student. 1. This consist of but is not limited to * Helping students hear from God through prayer. * Praying for students’ personal life. * Explaining spiritual and practical components of full-time vocational ministry. * Oversee all contact and communication with potential students through CRM System-Pipedrive. * Maintain good relationships with pastors and leaders’ from different regions and states. * Work with district youth directors and pastors of a variety of different ministry to determine promotional, spiritual, and financial needs. * Provide discipleship and counsel to current oaks college students. * Oversee and execute all recruitment/ministry trips throughout the course of the year. * Oversee the making of and production of all Oaks College merchandise. * Oversee and manage all social media platform for Oaks College * Oversee all Preview Day events. * Pastor, develop, train, supervise all members of the Oaks College recruitment team. * Develop and manage a communication calendar for all new, incoming students through CRM and texting system. * Develop and implement goals, objectives, processes, and a budget for the recruitment functions. Supervisory Responsibilities * Pastor and disciples current Oaks College students to a healthy life of ministry. * Provide spiritual counsel to potential students. * Oversee Marketing and Recruitment budget. * Pastor, develop, and train oaks college recruitment team. * Pastor and assist in developing and mentoring Oaks College Ministry Associates * Assist, preach, and participate in all Oaks College chapel services. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred with Experience from a ministry school. * Experience within Oaks Church or Oaks College. At least 1-2 years. * Pastoral ministry experience or credentialed with the Assemblies of God. * 1-2 years’ experience in Admissions field. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Need to be comfortable communicating from a platform in front of an audience of hundreds or thousands. * Needs to be able to preach a sermon with excellence and understand how to exegesis scripture. * Excellent Biblical knowledge with the ability to teach and guide students through relevant theological topics. * Excellent discipleship skills with a proven track require of discipleship in a church or non-profit ministry. * Interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to students, staff, parents, and pastors. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Needs to be familiar with CRM functions. Salesforce, Pipedrive or other CRM systems. * Needs to be able to work with Adobe photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft office, Asana task management system. * Creative ability to visualize, vision cast different merchandising and brand concepts. Physical Requirements * Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. * Build and tear down recruitment booths very easily. * Must be able to lift up to 40-50 pounds at a time.
