Description

Our group is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable team player who enjoys working in both areas of an office. The position is primarily reception, but offers periodic opportunities to work in the back as a medical assistant.
The selected candidate will be trained to work at all front office stations. The primary responsibilities are check-in, check-out, and answering phones. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, insurance and benefits verification, collecting patient balances and co-payments, reconciling end of day receipts, scanning, e-mailing messages to physicians and staff with phone related patient questions and responding to patient e-mails through the patient portal. Athena / Phreesia experience is a plus.
The medical assistant responsibilities include obtaining vitals, entering patient histories, tracking orders, preparing rooms for procedures, preparing lab orders for on-site phlebotomists, venipuncture, administering injections, monitoring inventory and cleaning instruments.
This position is an 8 hour shift 8am - 4pm, Monday through Thursday, 7:30am - 3:00pm on Friday.
We look for candidates who work well in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Salary commensurate with experience. Any gaps in employment must be explained. A background check will be performed.
