What You’ll Do Provide direct patient care in clinic, hospital, and community-based settings Serve as a specialist and consultant for referred patients Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation for patient phone support Rotate inpatient hospital coverage (with hospitalist support when available) Maintain a schedule including: 1 evening shift (until 8 PM) per week 1 Saturday shift (9 AM – 1 PM) every 3–4 weeks 1 overnight call for Trinity Hospital Ensure compliance with medical standards, confidentiality laws, and regulatory requirements Qualifications: M.D. Degree, or D.O. degree from accredited school of allopathic or osteopathic medicine required Board-certified or Board-eligible in OB/GYN Current and valid Illinois license as a physician and surgeon Current and valid DEA and IL Controlled Substance Eligible for, or maintenance of, hospital privileges at affiliated hospitals If you are a compassionate, mission-oriented physician, this is a place where your skills and passion will be valued. Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patients and other members of the care team. Comfort working in a medical setting as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise Experience in working with a diverse population base preferred. Ability to appropriately handle confrontation and conflict. Ability to work independently and to seek consultation as necessary. Ability to follow organization and departmental processes and procedures. Ability to work in a high stress/fast paced/high work volume environment.
