Description OB Hospitalist Physician Position Summary: As part of the Ob Hospitalist clinical team, an Ob Hospitalist embraces delivering a quality OB Hospitalist program. Position Responsibilities: Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care to patients including but not limited to providing contraceptive services (at hospitals that provide contraceptive services) Deliver direct patient care to high-risk patients including situations where Maternal Fetal Medicine support may only be available by telephone or video consultation Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds Serve as the ‘Safety Officer’ on Labor and Delivery to ensure that all patients, regardless of their primary admitting clinician, have the safest possible outcomes Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance as requested including practice coverage as requested and as safely available Shifts: 24-hour shifts (majority) Some 12-hour or mixed-shift models Full-time clinicians typically work 5–9 (24-hr) shifts per 28-day block Benefits: Health, Life, Vision, Dental 401k w/ profit share contribution & Roth option Malpractice – Covered with unlimited tail coverage (lifetime) CME: $2,000 Annual Stipend toward ACOG/ACOOG membership dues ABOG/AOBOG certification maintenance Subscriptions, License fees for state licensure on OBHG assignments & more! Clinicians are eligible for coverage with a shift commitment of 5 shifts per 28-day block Requirements Board Certified or Active Candidate Ob/Gyn Physician Licensed to practice medicine in the state of assigned site Highly relational, able to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with all stakeholders (Hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and OBHG corporate staff) Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
Responsibilities
The OB Hospitalist will deliver quality obstetrical and gynecological care, including direct care to high-risk patients, and participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds. This role also involves serving as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery and supporting community physicians and midwives as requested.
