Position: Obsolescence Manager Location: Penzberg, Germany Field: Defence Type: Part-time/on-site Tasks: Analysis, assessment, and management of obsolescence for our drone systems Planning, managing, and tracking obsolescence mitigation efforts Providing information and guidance to the Product Line (PL) on obsolescence management Collaboration with other organizational units (Development, Purchasing, Configuration Management, Production Support) Measurement control and reporting Ensuring proactive obsolescence management (regular inquiries to manufacturers of key assemblies, supported by a database) Development of strategies to prevent obsolescence in product development, test procedures for subsequent series acceptance testing Creation and maintenance of the system-specific obsolescence management plan Maintenance of the obsolescence and risk management database Requirements: A degree in a technical field, ideally in aerospace or a related field Several years of experience as a design engineer or systems engineer Experience in project management Excellent knowledge of MS Office and SAP R3 Proficiency with AMSYS is desirable Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills, as well as a confident demeanor and assertiveness Reliable, responsible, and independent work style System-level overview, independent thinking, and proficiency with IT systems.
