Occupancy Specialist Duties: - Conduct initial and annual recertification interviews with residents to determine eligibility for housing programs - Review and verify applicant income, assets, and household composition - Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding occupancy standards and fair housing laws - Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident files and records - Process move-ins, move-outs, and transfers of residents - Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation for audits and inspections - Provide excellent customer service to residents and address any concerns or issues in a timely manner Qualifications: - Strong understanding of fair housing laws and regulations - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Conflict management skills to handle difficult situations with residents or staff members - Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record keeping and proficient in math - Experience in real estate administrative work is preferred Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this role.
