Responsibilities

We’re seeking a proactive and empathetic Senior Occupational Health Advisor to help implement and manage our in-house Occupational Health service and to support the active maintenance of our clinical governance to continually improve the service we deliver to our employees, as and when they need us. As we move our Occupational Health service in-house, your main remit will be supporting and managing our case referrals (e.g. sickness, absence, rehabilitation), from assessments and advising on best course of action (e.g. treatment plans, restrictions of duties, reasonable adjustments) through evidence-based reports to liaising with external supplier to support this activity, as required. You will be supported by two colleagues, focussing on mental health and health surveillance activities. Working closely with our HR team and Managers, to provide current professional insight around legislative requirements, proactively feed into our wellbeing activities and internal training and review our policies and procedures with regards to OH requirements to continually improve the working lives of our people. To make our service the best it can be, you’ll communicate workplace trends and advise on action plans to meet statutory and voluntary requirements for health protection, surveillance and KPI reporting. In addition, you’ll act as our Data Controller for our OH data, ensuring confidentiality and accurate information is maintained at all times. This is an exciting new role at Accord, and one where you can make a real difference.
