Description
Responsibilities include assisting physicians in administering treatments, physical examinations, diagnostic tests and basic medical care functions with diligence, accuracy, and compliance with regulations. Co-develop initiatives to improve patient care by collaborating with senior clinical professionals, cross-functional teams, and other healthcare providers. This includes implementing infection control measures, optimizing nursing workflows, and leveraging data analysis to identify trends and develop effective strategies. Participate in case management meetings to reduce the impact of absenteeism related to occupational or non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Responsible for departmental OSHA recordkeeping requirements related to medical records and ensuring that the medical staff understand the requirements of OSHA recordkeeping. Provide health services and administer surveillance evaluations to company employees, recording observations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with company policy. Perform routine nursing tasks associated with medical screenings related to Federal regulations and company standards. Collect appropriate samples and specimens from patients and perform hearing, vision, and pulmonary screening following clinical protocols. Monitor patient vitals, behaviors, and assist in medical emergencies that may occur on company premises such as accidents, injuries, sudden illnesses, etc. Follow established policies and procedures, identify roadblocks, and effectively communicate issues to the medical team's attention. Communicate health screening results and physical rehabilitation program information to patients requiring treatment. Assist with medication administration while managing medication protocols. Maintain accurate and confidential records, including use of an electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Support emergency procedures preparation and adherence to infection control practices. Provide patient-centered care with empathy, kindness, and professionalism. Involves occasional lifting of 10 to 25 pounds, frequent walking, standing, and sedentary work. Occasional work in areas with moderate noise levels and exposure to varying temperatures. Established and active employee resource groups Associate's degree in nursing 3+ years of experience in occupational health nursing or a related area such as urgent care, emergency room, or adult medical/surgical nursing Registered Nurse Unrestricted state licensure in the state of practice Current BLS Certification required before start date Bachelor's degree in nursing Certified Occupational Health Nurse preferred
