Description Occupational Technician / Medical Assistant Location: Midland, TX Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary XstremeMD is seeking a dependable and professional Occupational Technician or Medical Assistant to join our Midland clinic team. This position provides occupational health services, assists clinical staff with patient care, and supports workplace testing programs for our clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct occupational testing services, including urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, hair collections, and other required screenings. Perform patient registration and maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Assist providers with patient care during clinic encounters. Perform Respiratory Fit Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, and Audiometry Testing. Maintain customer paperwork, Chain of Custody Forms (CCFs), and testing documentation. Collect blood specimens and prepare samples for laboratory testing. Answer and direct phone calls and assist with front desk operations. Maintain clinic cleanliness, organization, and inventory. Prepare and package specimens for shipment according to company and regulatory requirements. Participate in onsite and field testing activities as needed Requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred. Previous experience in a medical office, occupational health clinic, or related healthcare setting preferred. Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date). Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to perform observed collections in accordance with DOT and client requirements Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate medical equipment and perform specimen collections. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
