JOB SUMMARY

Assure is hiring a dependable, hands-on individual who can confidently operate a truck and trailer, travel to multiple job sites, and provide on-site occupational health testing. If you’re safety-minded, comfortable driving a 1-ton truck across Alberta and Saskatchewan, and eager to learn or enhance your skills in the health and safety industry, this role is for you. You’ll be the face of Assure on the road—delivering essential testing services to safety sensitive industries, with hard working employees on site.

REQUIREMENTS - MUST HAVE:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
  • Experience operating and backing up a truck & trailer confidently
  • Comfortable maintaining vehicles and troubleshooting minor mechanical or technical issues outside and inside the mobile unit
  • Comfortable traveling throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Physically capable of lifting, cleaning, setting up equipment, and working in a mobile environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable and punctual, with a professional appearance
  • Willingness to learn and grow—no prior medical or testing experience necessarily required.
  • Experience in the health industry academically or work experience is a definite advantage, but not necessarily required. Flexible students or those currently employed with high flexibility are welcomed. This role is intended to be the training ground for someone looking to work towards full time static work in our head office in the future.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain a mobile testing unit (truck & trailer); including setup & takedown of testing equipment and trailer as well as troubleshooting potential issues while on the road.
  • Travel to client locations across Alberta and Saskatchewan—sometimes early mornings or overnight
  • Confidently back up and park trailer at various worksite types (urban, industrial, rural)
  • Conduct a wide range of occupational health testing services (drug & alcohol testing, hearing testing , mask fitting & more)
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation and data entry
  • Maintain a professional and friendly client-facing demeanour
  • Follow all company and client protocols and safety procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and detailed organization of mobile unit and accompanying equipment and tools
  • Organize tight schedules, work efficiently & professionally, and communicate clearly with multiple clients
