Description

We are looking for a passionate and proactive Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be creative, caring, fun, and dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and youth in Ottawa and surrounding areas.

While daytime hours are available, we’re especially looking for clinicians who can also lead evening or weekend group therapy sessions. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy (essential)
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (essential)
  • Minimum of one year experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses, including sensory processing, autism, ADHD, and developmental delays
  • Maintain appropriate liability insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current vulnerable sector check
  • Passion for working with children and youth
  • Strong leadership, communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate children’s strengths and areas of need
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation in client records
  • Deliver in-center, home-based, and group occupational therapy services to children with various disabilities, utilizing evidence-based approaches
  • Collaborate with parents/caregivers, teachers, and healthcare providers involved in the child’s care
  • Provide ongoing intervention tailored to each child’s needs and progress
  • Educate and support parents and caregivers in strategies to promote their child’s development
  • Supervise and mentor OT Assistants as part of a collaborative team
  • Adhere to the standards of practice set forth by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Participate in ongoing professional development
  • Availability for evening and/or weekend group sessions, as needed
