Quality and Accuracy:

• Prioritizes tasks ensuring effective functioning of the unit.
• Follows the chain of command in reporting incidents or concerns.
• Participates in the department's Quality Improvements (QI) activities.
• Complies with Hospital Policy and Procedure regarding safety, infection control and security.
• Promotes incident, and customer complaint reporting to improve patient and family care.
• Uses selected measurement procedures, such as Joint Range of Motion (ROM) tests, manual muscle tests, and functional and coordination tests.
• Applies supportive and assistive devices accurately and in such a manner as to avoid possible harm to the patient or damage to the equipment.
• Applies appropriate modalities at correct dosages, correct length and intensity as deemed necessary by initial and ongoing patient evaluation.
• Ensures compliance with current American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) documents, including Standards of Practice for Occupational Therapy and the Criteria, Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, Code of Ethics, and Guide
