CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES This list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by position. Administers prescribed exercise interventions in accordance with the physical therapists' plan of care and carry out functional reeducation tasks in accordance with the physical therapists prescribed plan of care. Monitor the patient’s response to prescribed physical therapy interventions. Communicate patient’s progress in therapy through their documentation and during interdisciplinary team meetings. Immediately inform the therapist of all adverse events to care and/or acute changes in the patient’s medical status and assist in communication with the physical therapist when an evaluative/progress note is required. Requirements ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant Program Current Certified occupational Therapist Assistant license in Arizona Current CPR certification. BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served. Basic computer knowledge. Appropriate interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals.
