Participates in the provision of Occupational therapy services in an outpatient setting, under the directions and general supervision of an Occupational Therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care. Related duties include, but are not limited to: Provides direct patient therapy services in accordance with prevailing professional practice standards and the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist; Adheres to all confidentiality and privacy policies, in accordance with organizational policies and federal regulations. B. Interacts with other healthcare team members and the community, as appropriate. To include but not limited to: Provides input regarding patient and family/caregiver needs for other health services and discusses with supervising Occupational Therapist; Provides education to families/caregivers and other customers as appropriate and with direction/supervision of OT; Participates in discharge planning for patient and communicates to appropriate healthcare team members, patient and family/caregivers; Attends team conferences and staff meetings as appropriate/requested. C. Prepares and submits required, accurate and timely documentation in a facility- and regulatory-compliant format, to include, but not limited to: Treatment records, including session notes and progress reports; Additional treatment and billing records and charges, according to organizational procedures and systems; Additional documentation as requested for audit or other review purposes. D. Other duties, as assigned, including but not limited to: Participates in program development as requested; Participates in performance improvement initiatives and projects as requested; Contributes to maintenance of safe and clean clinical environment, including participation in equipment maintenance, monitoring for regular inspection and reporting identified service or repair needs Participates in community education, marketing, public relations and promotional events, as requested, and with appropriate approval. #LowLC1 Requirements Position Qualifications: Entry-level education from an appropriately accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program Active license in good standing for the state in which the clinical agency is located. At least 1 year of clinical practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, preferred. Demonstration of good verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification for healthcare providers, obtained through acceptable CPR certification provider
Responsibilities
