Job Details Job Location: Pivot at Dallas - Dallas, TX 75462 Position Type: PRN Job Category: Occupational Therapy PRN A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides coordinated occupational therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Participates in the coordination of care. Provides services that are ordered by the physician as indicated in the plan of care, as developed, delegated, and supervised by the Occupational Therapist (OT). Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner. Facilitates patients’ ROM, strength, coordination, use of adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety issues as related to patients’ ADL performance under the supervision of the OT. Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating and performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease. Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients. Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to provide patient and caregiver education. Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third-party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance, as necessary. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program of occupational therapist assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy. Active, state license as an occupational therapist assistant. Current driver’s license. One year of experience as an occupational therapist assistant, preferred. Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies. Good interpersonal skills. Proof of current CPR certification. Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
