Atrium Medical Center Occupational Therapy Assistant PRN: Schedule varies - 7:00am-3:30pm Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care Support COTA: The support occupational therapist assistant assists the occupational therapist in providing direct patient care services. The assistant provides treatment to patients to enhance the physical and/or cognitive performance while adjusting to their disabilities as defined in the assistant’s scope of practice. The assistant documents according to departmental standards. The assistant is a positive contributor to disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams. They participate in professional development; supervision of students and volunteers as appropriate; and in orienting new employees Licensure: Possess a valid license to practice Occupational Therapy issued by the State of Ohio. BLS (Basic Life Support) Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job related experience. Knowledge/Skills Able to multi-task with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. Dependable, flexible and adaptable to change. Teamwork oriented. Display tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. Strong analytical and prioritization skills. Strong organizational skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Basic computer knowledge and skills.
