Job title: Occupational Therapist - Clinical Lead
Work Hours: Full-Time, 38hrs/week
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per annum + super
Location: Caulfield South, Melbourne
Our client is looking for a motivated, client-centric, outcome-focused Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join their leadership team and be instrumental in the growth and support of their new grad and junior OT’s, as well as managing a small caseload.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in related field
  • 5+ years experience working in a relevant field (highly desirable)
  • Leadership & management experience of clinical staff (highly desirable)
  • Full AHPRA Registration
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC or Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination (or valid exemption)
  • Police Check
  • Driver’s license & access to a reliable vehicle
  • Car insurance
  • Professional Indemnity & Public Liability insurance
  • First Aid certificate (desirable)
Responsibilities
  • Providing supervision to therapeutic employees, including new graduates
  • Ensuring therapists are providing high-quality, evidence-based & well-documented therapy.
  • Being available to answer questions from clinicians.
  • Assisting the recruitment team upon request
  • Helping new employees with scheduling, including their first month, induction, shadowing, training & supervision
  • Ensuring appropriate handover is completed when a member of the team leaves.
  • Networking with external companies, building relationships.
  • Liaising with management regularly to provide updates on staff performance & feedback.
  • Occasional interstate travel, assisting clinicians in other states (if required)
  • Managing a small caseload

Other responsibilities includes:

  • Managing staff workloads & capacity, considering staff availability and service area
  • Managing complaints
  • Conducting performance appraisals for staff
  • Implementing performance management plan for staff if required
  • Managing department resources (including requests, sufficient stock levels & ensuring updates as required)
  • Liaising with other clinical leads to ensure consistency across the teams.
  • Regular meetings & communications with the Administrations team
  • Arranging internal PDs and learning opportunities
