We are currently seeking an Early Career Occupational Therapist to join our team in an itinerant/community-based role. In this position, you will support autistic children, adolescents and adults through community-based therapy services focused on building independence, participation and quality of life. At Aspect Therapy, you’ll be supported to build confidence in your practice while working collaboratively with autistic people and their families to develop practical, everyday skills that make a genuine difference. You’ll benefit from: A comprehensive induction program while you build your caseload A structured early careers training pathway (first 12–18 months) Regular clinical supervision and mentoring Training in Positive Behaviour Support and autism-specific approaches Ongoing monthly professional development sessions A gradual, supported transition to managing your own caseload What You’ll Be Doing Supporting 3–4 participants per day in community settings Working collaboratively with participants and their families/support networks Building practical, functional skills that support everyday life Developing strengths-based, person-centred support strategies Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team Unlike private practice, you won’t need to source your own clients—we’ll support you to build a sustainable caseload. Qualifications What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualification in: Occupational Therapy 1–3 years’ experience (or new graduates encouraged to apply) Interest in working with autistic people and neurodivergence Willingness to work in community-based settings AHPRA registration Click here to view the position profile.
