Description
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of assessments, treatment interventions, program planning and implementation and discharge planning for patients admitted to the unit and discharged to any one member of appropriate resources as indicated. 1. Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario 2. Graduate of an approved School of Occupational Therapy 3. Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in the rehabilitation care of patients with neurological impairments as well as care of the elderly patient 4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team 5. Demonstrated ability to work with and to supervise Occupational Therapy interns 6. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing 7. ADP authorizer preferred 8. Basic knowledge and understanding of manual wheelchair seating and splinting preferred
