Our Lifemark OT - Consulting clinic is conveniently located on Lougheed Highway, between Rupert Street and Boundary Road, a few minutes from the Rupert Street Skytrain station. Established in 1986, the clinic boasts a spacious area of 8600 square feet that is wheelchair accessible. The clinic is well-lit and inviting with ample free parking. Our primary treatment programs include concussion rehabilitation, occupational rehabilitation, general physiotherapy, vestibular therapy, active rehabilitation, medical-legal assessments, long-term disability, return-to-work planning and much more. Your impact Our OTs provide both individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. They also play a pivotal role in supporting veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals facing physical, cognitive and mental wellness goals. In this role, you will: * Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clients * Apply clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up of clients * Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessments * Identification of appropriate equipment needs with the initiation of recommendations * Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to the Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties * Provide education on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs and adaptive aides, as well as providing ongoing education to clients and family to improve function, independence and safety * Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention * Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart * Excel in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment * Exhibit sound professional judgment Are you the right fit? Key skills and qualifications include: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. * Registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia. * Newly Licensed Graduates are accepted. Other Requirements: * Clinical experience is a valuable asset in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics/or return to work. * Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development * Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
