An opportunity exists to join the Occupational Therapy Department at Bowral Hospital in a senior Occupational therapist role. This position sits within the Out patient/ Inpatient Paediatrics caseload. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic occupational therapist with creative approaches to therapy. The role involves assessment and intervention with paediatric patients and works within a supportive multidisciplinary team including Speech pathology, Physiotherapy and Dietitian.

The occupational therapist will provide clinical services to outpatient children typically aged 0-6 years of age with complex needs or suspected developmental delay, and children with handwriting or regulation difficulties aged K-6. The role sometimes involves providing care of children with complex or varied needs as a transitionary support whilst children are awaiting NDIS funding. The role also involves servicing the inpatient Paediatric Ward and Special Care Nursery. The occupational therapist will provide evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary and family-centred context and utilise holistic occupational therapy models of care. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery including management of waiting lists and service design.
