Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people? Join our vibrant and dedicated team as an Occupational Therapist at East CAMHS, Parkhead Hub, and help shape the future of mental health and neurodevelopmental care for children and adolescents up to 18 years old.
In this rewarding role, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver innovative and impactful Occupational Therapy services within a supportive multi-disciplinary environment. Experience in mental health or paediatrics is valued but not essential—we’re looking for individuals whose enthusiasm and commitment to working with young people will drive their success in this position. Your energy and fresh perspective are what matter most.
You will become a key member of our well-respected wider CAMHS Occupational Therapy Team, which is currently expanding and evolving to meet the complex needs of our community. With supervision from a lead Occupational Therapist and access to a wealth of knowledge from your colleagues, you’ll work collaboratively to assess and support young people facing mental health challenges and co-morbid neurodevelopmental conditions.
Your work will be varied and engaging, including individual and group interventions, and close collaboration across professional boundaries. You’ll also play a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of practitioners through our student placement programme.
We invest in your growth and development. Enjoy a comprehensive induction with both Occupational Therapy-specific and multi-disciplinary insights, regular CPD opportunities, dedicated supervision, and a culture of reflective practice and evidence-based care.
Whether you’re seeking career progression or a refreshing change of direction, we value the diverse skills and experiences you bring. If you’re HCPC registered and eager to transfer your expertise to a new challenge, we would love to hear from you. Above all, your interpersonal and communication skills, and your ability to connect with children, young people, and families, will set you apart.
