Seeks consultation as necessary.   * Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.   * Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.  * Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.  * Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.    Why join us:  We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist provides therapy services to patients to help them develop, recover, and maintain occupational skills, which includes assessing abilities and designing appropriate treatment plans. Responsibilities also involve implementing treatment, documenting progress, educating patients and families, planning discharge, and supervising therapy assistants and technicians.
