The Nepean Cancer Care Centre is seeking you to join their team to support Oncology, Haematology and Palliative Care clients through inpatient assessment and treatment, outpatient clinic reviews and home visits. As a key member of the multidisciplinary palliative care team, you will work collaboratively to assess and support patients with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on maintaining function, promoting comfort and enabling participation in meaningful activities.

Responsibilities
  • Current Registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and NSW Class C drivers licence or equivalent.
  • Level 1: newly qualified relevant classification with less than three years clinical experience; Level 2: a minimum of three years clinical experience as a relevant classification and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated high level skills in verbal and non-verbal communication with consumers, teams and other stakeholders, including negotiation, decision making, advocacy and collaborative consultation. Demonstrated experience in documentation and formal reporting.
  • Demonstrated effective skills in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant evidence based practice resources to guide decision- making and commitment to quality.
